Screen2Doc is a local-first desktop application designed to create structured QA documentation from screenshots. Your privacy is important to us.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Screen2Doc desktop application, distributed through the Microsoft Store.

Screen2Doc is not an online service and does not require an internet connection to function.

2. Data Collection

Screen2Doc does NOT collect, transmit, store remotely, or process any personal data whatsoever.

The application does NOT collect:

Personal identifiers (name, email, phone)
User accounts or login credentials
Device information or hardware IDs
Usage analytics or behavioral telemetry
Crash reports or diagnostics
IP addresses or geolocation data
Cookies or tracking data

No data leaves the user's device.

3. Local Data Storage

All data created by Screen2Doc is processed and stored locally on your computer only. This includes:

Screenshots and annotated images
Notes, text, and rich text content
Export templates and generated documents
File hashes and verification records
Personal signatures and profiles
Session files and configuration
Theme and UI preferences
Encryption keys and password hashes

Storage locations on your device:

%AppData%\ScreenToDoc\ — settings, signatures, export preferences
%LocalAppData%\ScreenToDoc\ — notes, hashes, configuration

The Developer has no access to any of this data.

4. Network Communication

Screen2Doc does NOT:

Connect to the internet for any feature
Use cloud storage or synchronization
Send data to external servers
Download content independently
Include any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs

All features work fully offline.

5. Microsoft Store

Screen2Doc is distributed through the Microsoft Store. The Store handles:

App installation and updates
Subscription billing and payment processing (Pro tier, €5.99/month)
License validation

This activity is managed entirely by Microsoft under their own privacy policy. DandeFox does not receive, store, or process any payment information or Microsoft account details.

6. Third-Party Services

Screen2Doc does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking systems.

No data is shared with third parties.

7. Data Security

Since Screen2Doc does not transmit any data externally, data security depends on your local system environment.

The application provides optional security features:

AES-256-CBC encryption with HMAC-SHA256 integrity verification
Password hashing with PBKDF2 (600,000 iterations)
Unique recovery keys per encrypted file

All security operations are performed locally.

8. Children's Privacy

Screen2Doc does not collect any data from any user, including children. There are no age-restricted features or content.

9. Your Rights

You have full control over all data created by Screen2Doc:

View stored data in the local folders listed in Section 3
Delete any or all data by removing these folders
Uninstall the application to remove all program files
Export your data in standard formats (DOCX, PDF, RTF, JSON, ZIP)

Since Screen2Doc does not collect or process personal data, it does not perform GDPR-regulated data processing activities. There is no data to access, correct, delete, or port — because no data is collected.

11. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated in future versions. Changes will be reflected inside the application and on the DandeFox website.
